August 23rd 2016 The auspiciously chosen day finally arrived! If you remember from my previous blog posted at the end of July I had earmarked this day calculated by the lunar calendar for maximum growth and the potential harvest as THE day to plant up the chitted potato tubers. It would seem that the deceptively easy instructions on the packet are only the beginning of this endeavor! July 19, 2016.

When life bites, faith bites back. Like many people, 2016 was a difficult year for me. Work, home and personal circumstances came together to make me feel that whenever it looked as if there was light at the end of the tunnel, it felt more like an approaching herd of stampeding elephants wearing head-torches.
