Re-citrus is a participatory project in the Port of Rotterdam that aims at raising awareness about food-waste by creating citrus-paper. The project confers the Merwe-Vierhaven a new identity by collecting fruit peels and turning them into paper sheets. The first paper tests are made from old papers combined with the peels. After talking with an expert, the machines available request working with textiles pulp to combine the peels into paper.
