The site had the following in the homepage, "Style is a hard concept to define." I noticed that the web site stated " Style can mean rules or artistically breaking rules." They also stated " Style is the definition of these rules. Style is a hard concept to define because we must ask ourselves, who defines style? Are grammatical rules style? Is a chosen medium style? And the answer is yes. Style encompasses any form of writing we encounter. This can mean any genre of writing, and medium of writing, anything around any writing. Sunday, April 25, 2010. I found the bit regarding the changes in rhetoric between medieval and renaissance ages to be quite interesting. It seemed that greater importance was placed on style and delivery in renaissance, a return to the artistry of language. I guess one could say rhetoric got back to focusing on the means rather than the end.
This is my content manager blog for my English 444 class! December 6, 2011. Tensions seem to be running high right now. Which makes peer review comments even touchier than normal. I think that using tools like Google docs made peer reviewing a much easier task.
