Life Aboard our 70ft Narrowboat built by Roger Fuller of Stone. We moored at Cole Mere a few nights ago and it was a glorious place to be. It is such an idyllic mooring spot, even more so today as there were plenty of sailing boats on the lake. The locks start first thing in the morning with the staircase locks.
When I was small, we had our groceries delivered each week. This was in addition to seperate deliveries for meat, milk and bread. It seems we have now come full circle. For about a decade now we have been using Ocado for our grocery deliveries, and we wonder why we had to suffer with actual supermarket shopping, especially the time it wasted. Where was Miss Roberts when we needed her? .
Saturday, 15 August 2015. Wow what a busy weekend and soooo many people. The organisers did a fantastic job and as Festival HQ was in front of us we could see and hear all the hard work going on throughout the weekend. Friday evening Peter and Heather came round, complete with cider, wine and crisps and we sat on our back deck listening to the music from Blisworth Marina opposite. We had a lovely evening catching up. Peter and Heather emerging from Blisworth Tunnel.
