A number of years ago, open education was a term I found interesting but I did not see how I could apply it in my present position. Fast forward, now I am at a different place and have a different view. I see it as the path education must take for the good of society. My early perspective focused on what was in it for me? The site had the following in the homepage, "Openness in Education Blog by maryakem." I noticed that the web site stated " I talk with my hands." They also stated " When I went to library school in 2001 I think we all believed librarians needed to morph into some sort of computer geek. We would be studying new systems and functioning as fleshy index operators. It was a good 5 years since the Net was settling into its then publicly accessible. Laaa! Why didnt we think of that!
