Monday, August 3, 2009. Things to do in Winona. There are a variety of things to do in Winona, including walking around the lakes, renting a canoe, or taking a hike in Holzinger Woods. You can find information on these activities and more at the Winona Chamber of Commerce. We would also invite you to drive over to the Wisconsin side of the Mississippi to visit the Trempealeau Wildlife Reserve. There are short hiking trails and an observation platform where you can observe birds and other wildlife.
