Loving the outdoors has always come from my family. To this day I love camping, fishing, and being outdoors. When photographing outdoors, I have to stop thinking about everything going on in my life, and just be. My best work happens when I take the time to get comfortable with my surroundings. The closer I look, the more interesting shots I get.
Photography helps me to relieve stress, because I can go out and leave everything else behind. I enjoy looking through old black and white photographs, and the kind of photographs that are a spur of the moment, or a once in a lifetime shot. Those are the kind of pictures I want to take.
