Sabtu, 13 Februari 2010. Seperti halnya seutas tali yang tergantung di dahan pohon. Panjang terurai hingga menyentuh tanah. Tiap tali memiliki panjangnya sendiri. Kadang angin kan terpa mereka. Hingga tak kan bisa lurus. Bergoyang, menggeliat-geliat bak cacing kepanasan. Seperti air mata ibu yang menangisi kepergian anaknya. Ada yang putus di tengah jalan.

As predicted snow was at sea level on Monday, but fortunately Tuesday was a much more congenial day for working in the bush. Even so, the snow was clearly visible a short bit higher up but with sun out it was quite pleasant where we were located. Soon after packing up and going out the gate rain started so our timing was most fortuitous. Bush at the northern end of the Tolosa site. In all a very satisfying day.

Saturday, November 2, 2013. As you often do, this morning you woke me with a song in my dreams. This morning it was a song from my youth, around the time I was 16, with all that teen existential angst, I was chubby and socially awkward; this son. Saturday, July 20, 2013. How I love this girl! We dream of retiring to both have time to do the things we really love.
