Road runner creeping near us while camping. Here is a herd of bison at Caprock Canyons. They are so unperturbed by the heat. Burrow owl in a West Texas field. Caprock Canyons is a pretty cool park to visit in Texas. It has a large buffalo herd on park grounds, and extraordinary views almost anywhere you hike. A bit windy though, so make sure you have wrapping sunglasses.

As is often our tradition, we do a hike on Thanksgiving Day weekend. Today we went to Foley Mountain Park in Westport, ON. The air was fresh, the sky was blue, and the trees were just beginning to colour. We followed the Orange Maple Trail. The trail wound through young forest on the rocky Canadian Shield. The canopy was beginning to turn colour. And closer to Upper Rideau Lake the colours were more vibrant. We enjoyed exercise, fresh air, and sunshine.

A bonus photo from my Polly Woodside and Docklands Wharf run, the Webb bridge. An interesting and progressive design however I really wonder about the practicality of a bridge being longer than need be. Either way at least it makes a great subject for HDR!
