I hate turning in major assignments. Actually, I get worse.

My mom was an expert travel agent when it came time to book a guilt trip. As a young woman, I could get sucked into one as quickly as a stray sock finds a way to bust the belt inside my vacuum cleaner. Eventually, I grew up and grew wise to her manipulation and learned how to stop it dead in its tracks.

Exactly one year ago, my vacation in Paris was truly tremendous. Just getting away from London was refreshing and I had been introduced earlier before by a friend to a new friend, Aurélien, who was so kind to show me around the city. It was a really nice day. Turn out, it was mine! Sent me a postcard of a grizzly bear.
