Ian was a hard working, happy, generous, warm, respectful, loving young man. He lived hard and fast, always a worry to his parents and our grandmother, but his smile and charm would light up a room. I knew how much we loved him, but I did not know the incredible impact he had on the lives around him until Tuesday. However, I am reminded of a Truth as we navigate through his loss. But I feel it beginning to awaken .

Earth as seen from the edge of our solar system, some 3,762,136,324 miles away, taken by the Voyager 1 spacecraft. Voyager 1 is the farthest man-made object from Earth, reaching that feat on February 17, 1998. This photograph kind of freaks me out.
