Musings on my travels to find and experience great architecture. Not only is Stockholm the cultural capital of Scandinavia, but it has consciously set its sights on becoming the gastronomic center of the Nordics. Coming from New Zealand, dining while traveling abroad has always been an adventure. Like New Zealand cuisine, Swedish dishes are influenced by local ingredients and seasonal variants.

Today, Marisol and I hosted the First Graders again for a bilingual reading of The Musicians of Bremen. Then the children made two cards with drawings of the farm animals they are studying and labeled one in English and one in Spanish to use for a memory game. I put out skulls and shells for the children to observe and draw.
