I threw off a hump to keep making more. As long as you have a wheel, you can make it. The wonderful things snapchat does! For this project, I threw a closed cylinder and cut into it when it became leather hard. I made the cut slanted so it was able to sit on it. It worked! I used my own ideas by adding things to the corners like the first one below.

These two ceramic works of art appear to be done with a marbling technique. I think the artists used a variety of colored clay to create a marble design. I believe these two forms were created using a wheel to get a smooth and flawless appearance. This is something we could do in the studio, however, it would be difficult.

I made my lidded vessel on the wheel. Since it was my first time making a lid on the wheel I had some help with that. For glaze I used deep olive speckle under textured turquoise. I then put clear glass in the handle of the lid, this melted and was tinted a blueish green. This piece was probably fired in a kiln like the one we have here.
