Wednesday, September 10, 2014. Honoring Those Lost on September 11th. I recently took a walk in Heckscher Park on a beautiful September day. The sky was blue and without a cloud and the temperature pleasant, just as it was on September 11, 2001 a day that turned so tragic when our nation was attacked. In the park, there stands a fitting monument to those residents of Huntington who lost. Are our elected officials that egotistical that they had to be listed on this plaque? Why sho.

Piano Teacher Shirley Hayes is currently taking new students! The Institute of Music Education in Scottsdale, AZ. The Noteroom School of Music in class setting as well as privately. Shirley helps with performance suggestions, songwriting, music theory, sight-reading etc. Her goal is to enable her students to be able to progress and succeed in whatever direction they choose to take their musical adventure.
