The first complete streets proposal of using rural roads with shared use trails stood out to me because it reminded me of some places back home. I know these shared use roads work because they keep the community safe by allowing pedestrians to walk without the distraction of fast drivers and viceversa. I think that designing with respect to all stakeholders is what I take from the complete streets project.
