Looking back at your preliminary task, what do you feel you have learnt in the progression from it to the full product? January 16, 2015. The preliminary task was a good practice task and helped me in the long run. My layout for my preliminary task is very different to that of my music magazine. While looking back on my preliminary task I realised what I wanted to do differently and what things worked better. It was like a guide, a template that helped me make the final product.
