As the quarter draws to a close, I am having mixed emotions regarding my virtual experience. On the one hand, it was incredibly interesting to me to partake in the activity that so many of my friends devote all of their free time to.

The site had the following in the homepage, "In Whyville race is not a big issue, in that no one is ostricized or discriminated against because the color of their avatar." I noticed that the web site stated " The new race in Whyville is newbie and original." They also stated " When strolling through whyville and chatting with other whyville users your ability to seem like an orginal is what matters. Whyville is an instering virtual world and I am surprised by the things that these little pre teens say."ANALYZE MORE BUSINESSES
After a few months of playing on a virtual world I can safely say, I am glad I did not grow up playing these games! They would walk away or ignore me. I ran into this in every chat room. The reason I changed my avatar.

Even though I use social networking websites and chat with friends online, I guess I was never able to shake off that part of my gendered socialization.
