Welcome to the Southern Humboldt County dog mushers blogspot! This blog is devoted to SoHum Mushers, a loosely knit community of dog mushing enthusiasts. Sunday, March 12, 2017. Iditarod 2017 - The Race to the Coast. The Iditarod sled dog race is nearly a week old, and the race for the lead is heating up. The top five teams are heading towards the coastal village of Unalakleet, the first stop on the Bering Sea coast.
