I spent the week doing a lot more with the Namibia lesson I taught last Thursday. When I walked in on Monday, many of the students were talking about their animal books which was neat to hear! April 12, 2008. It was a lot of fun to interact with a variety of different kids.

Overall I enjoyed working with the two other girls but with the few downsides I would suggest maybe keeping the max of field teachers in the room at 2. That way working on team teaching is avaliable but it also limits the amount of people the students are exposed to. The Week of the Math Manipulative.

Eighth and Final Week at Cornerstone. Overall, my eight weeks at Cornerstone were somewhat disappointing. While I had a great group of kids, my teaching experience was extremely limited.
In order to fulfill a community outreach requirement for my Education 260 class, I participated in the NAEYC Week of the Young Child that took place at the OARDC in Wooster. I find it hard to believe that my field experience is over. The weather this week was again nice and we spent a lot of time outdoors. The children seemed to again to enjoy their time outside running and playing.
Last Week of Field! April 21, 2008. The rest of the week I did preparatory work for my teacher. I was making materials that she will use for next years class. Fifth Week of Field! After a long spring break I finally returned to Kean! April 7, 2008. On Tuesday of this week my students will be presenting their speeches. I am very excited to see their presentations because they have really worked hard.

Last week the local montessori school had a science fair. I went with two friends who taught there this semester. All the kids had posters up explaining their science experiments. They also all gave me hugs goodbye, and some of those were quite touching. It was very hard to leave.
On my last day, I presented my poster board that I created for the celery experiment. I then went outside with three students to help a student complete their science fair project. It was a great last day. This week I taught three of my lessons. It was very exciting! One group decided that they wanted to get an up close view of their celery.
