A year before I drove out of my little Oregon hometown to move to Big Texas, the community church in which I was raised went through a nasty split. Tonight, I went to an Alcoholics Anonymous meeting. As each person stood to introduce himself or herself at the beginning of the meeting, it was exactly how you picture it.
