Thursday, April 16, 2015. About a week ago, a large fire affected roughly twenty acres of park land near my house. This Chipping Sparrow was perched at the cemetary from which you view the Swainsons Hawk. After that, we took a quick stop at Paul Douglas Forest Preserve, and found a Family of Pied-billed Grebes among other things.
