Thursday, April 16, 2015. One thing that came to mind today when going over the success of the appendix at the end of. Was the relationship between the essay and the dialogue. I have come to the conclusion that both are effective means of expressive certain ideas and I think that if you were to take one of the two away from the other there would be something lacking. Thursday, April 9, 2015. Today we discussed the implementation of stories and metaphorical examples in order to portray a point within dialogue. Clearly, a writer like Plato uses them in certain aspects of the dialogue, where Socrates or other interlocutors go off on tangents and large stories to exemplify the meaning of the dialogue or point they are trying to convey.
