Na Escola Municipal Ceci Sueli da Silva Cantador estamos realizando a Formação Continuada dos Professores, o trabalho direcionado a História e Cultura Africana com a participação do Professor Especialista Dermeval Ferreira da Silva. Através de oficinas de danças afro brasileira, destinada aos alunos de 1ª a 4ª séries. Enfim, na oficina de dança afro, desenvolve a participação efetiva com todos os alunos.

A professora trabalhou as vestimentas do povos africanos, usando diversas imagens de varios modelos de vestimentas, assim como mostrou para os alunos os diferentes tecidos para confecção das vestimentas, para diferentes cerimonias. Alguns tecidos, eram de fato vindos da África.
