Making canes, walking sticks, and hiking staffs for at least a year now. My first project in almost two years and after going through shoulder surgery and rehab. My sister wanted hair sticks to hold her hair in a bun and be short enough to wear a hat over them. One day after she had been out walking I was given a stick and a request to make some for her.
Fall was quite busy, but Spring looks to be a little less so on the academic front at least, as I am teacher one fewer classes, but the mix of classes gives me almost as many units. I have no idea what summer or fall will bring this year, as budgets and course offerings continue to contract. The deluge starts Thursday with the first set of papers.
