Under the harvest moon." They also stated " New moon, mild morning but clouds rolling in. There were about 2,200 dairy farms in Whatcom County in the 1920s. No wonder photos from the 1910s and 1920s show women in long duster coats and men in hats and jackets. Plus, clothing was more formal in those days so people often wore their Sunday best to the fair.
