Multiplying and dividing by 10, 100 and 1000. We have had another fantastic practical maths lesson multiplying and dividing by 10, 100 and 1000. It was really nice to see you cooperating in groups to answer the calculations. We had had a fantastic maths lesson finding and increasing proportions using beads and Smarties today. I was so proud of you using your timestable facts to help you to increase proportions.
Well done everybody for all of your efforts. We managed to fill 90 shoeboxes! Thank you to all who sent something in or even made the whole box up at home. Thank you to the school council members who helped to collect all of the gifts and to my class who helped to wrap the boxes up. What does an MP do? Is it anything like being a school councillor? A visit from the Mayor. The start of a new year means election time! .
The last couple of weeks we have been making Easter bonnets and baskets. We really enjoyed using different arts and crafts materials to make something different. Leave a comment on Easter Bonnets. The nurture groups have been busy learning all about Chinese New Year. We have done our Chinese horoscope in Chinese writing, made masks, lanterns and some beautiful collage blossom trees.
