I am a grandmother of three, a family history enthusiast and a family portrait photographer living in Ireland. It is lovely to have a studio shot now and then, but after many years your loyal pet, your toy horse, or your favorite tree will matter as much as your sweet little face. Occasionally cruel, April has a gentle side as well, tempering thunderstorms and late frosts with soft rains and sunny warm days that coerce you outdoors with unspoken promises.
August 13, 2015 As I glide through crystal clear water on a private lake in the Adirondack mountains, the immense quiet seems to echo nothingness. This is in sharp contrast to the sweeping views before me. In this land far removed from human interference, I expected more obvious wildlife activity.
