Your bones recall the roots of Mountains. In the beginning the stars all knew their songs and the people sang back to them. But then a time of deep forgetting befell the people and spread its starving sorrow across the earth. The people forgot how to listen in to themselves and to all their relatives, and soon the earth grew loud with machines and silent grew the music of springs. Even the exquisite voices of song birds were unheard and unloved. And slowly, slowly the people began to re-member.
