Thursday, September 24, 2009. I spent the summer working 3 jobs and one internship to prepare for my semester in Paris, where I currently am. I had no time to do what I love best, baking. In Paris I live in a dorm so I have no kitchen to cook. Everyone has promised to find me a kitchen to make them pies and hopefully a whole Thanksgiving meal with that comes around! Book Review - Ordering Your Private World, by Gordon MacDonald.

Reflections, insights and things I like. Reflections on monks, mother T and money. One of the things that struck me most deeply in Burma were the monks. Alongside many meetings and work-related tasks I was able to go to the Swedagon pagoda and chat to some friendly monks. The monks will live long in my memory. What is it about the monks? Which value.

The project used design thinking and social research combined to help solve the challenges facing local and independent charity shops. The aim was to help improve an aspect of the chosen shop with the intention of increasing sales by increasing community involvement. The main output is a tool kit which allows the results of the study to be rolled .
