I feel like i should write something intelligently witty here. Over this last semester i think that this module has helped alot and taught me a few things, some of which i already knew subconsciously but had never really given thought to and some things that i honestly would never have expected. People will actually publish any rubbish to prove a point.
The education system- teaching and learning combined is of huge interest to me, and having the freedom to choose what I wrote about each week kept my interest throughout. Usually, we are told what to write about, when to write about it and what we are meant to learn from it. In this module it was all personal- I got to choose.
For the Science of Education Module I have blogged, and read blogs about a wide range of issues related to educational psychology. This module has proved many things, some of which I will now go onto discuss,. The Science of Education module has been the most engaging module I have undertaken in all the years I have been in education.

I think blogging has been an effective way of learning. It gives an opportunity for students to enhance their learning in a less stressful way, e. no exams! Thank you for an enjoyable and interesting learning experience. Therefore, perhaps it is not the pupils who are lacking in motivation, maybe the teachers need adapt and encourage pupils to work? Do you have any suggestions? Alan McLean, 2005 cite.
Furthermore, the motivation of the students. Throughout this module I think we can agree that we all know the difference between intrinsic and extrinsic motivation. Rather than only learning information because of extrinsic rewards.
This has been one of my favourite modules from the whole time I have been here. 1 We were given the opportunity to be truly independent learners. We had to choose our own topics, arguments and sources to back these up. This is something I feel is missing from many curriculums, both at secondary and tertiary education levels. While some people will benefit more from a structured approach than others, too much structure be restricting and discouraging.
Over the past few months, this module has taught me so much. Firstly, its taught me that self directed learning is possible and it really works. its been great to be able to talk about WHAT I want, WHEN I want. Next, that Jesse Martin really is a legend! The other day th.
Reflective blog time already! This module has really opened my eyes to the benefits, but more importantly, the issues that the UK has within its education system, of which there are LOTS. And for those of you who have read some of my previous blogs, you may have noticed how regularly I refer back to the example of Finland for good education.
From the very first week, this module has been an eye-opener. So many topics have been discussed in a small period of time, without being too much to take in or keep up with.

Calls this the protege effect. Something that I have talked about in previous blogs. Failing Is Not The End Of The World.
Thinking Inside or Thinking Outside the Box. A Viral Change for Education. It is better to debate a question without settling it than to settle a question without debating it. Having taken no other education-based module in third year, I found myself lacking knowledge in the initial weeks. However, I researched extensively and be.
