Why Is Ramadan So Unknown? June 18, 2015. In class today, I was shocked when the school notices included a notice on Ramadan, and no one in the class knew what it was. The teacher was even unclear! I, being the one who read the notice, explained about the fast, for 30 nights, from sunrise until sunset. It seemed we had all had limited religious education in our former schools, learning only the Bible, and having no education on the other religions. Buddhism, Taoism, Muslim, were all but obsolete.
