Chris, Jess and I went to Kaikoura, which is situated halfway between Christchurch and Picton on the east coast, at the beginning of October for the well-known Kaikoura Seafest. We decided to make a weekend of it and took the train up to Kaikoura early on Saturday morning and back to Christchurch on Sunday afternoon. The train ride was fun with beautiful views along the way.
