We, the Poor Clare Sisters of College Road, Cork, are part of the Franciscan family, followers of St. Francis of Assisi, and we are so pleased that our Holy Father Pope Francis has taken the name of Francis! St Francis inspired and guided St. Clare who founded our Order of Sisters in Italy in 1212. Our monastery here in Cork was founded in 1914.
