Sunday, January 05, 2014. The Great Thick-billed Murre Chase. Like many good birding adventures, this one started with an Ontbirds post and alcohol. This was one of few modern records for the species; a mega-rarity. Reading the post, they poured another rum and coke, liberal on the rum, conservative on the coke.
