I am borrowing 2 of the characters from TCS- my YA series for this short story. As I mentioned in a post on my personal site- this is a scene set a few years after the events in the trilogy.

A southern girl married to a cowboy! Overall, I am extremely happy with my life right now. I am incredibly grateful for the opportunity I have to go back to school and pursue my passion. Josh and I are doing well and our marriage is strong and happy. My dogs keep me laughing every single day and I live in the best little town that just keeps getting better. Then I stood up, brushed myself off, and kept going. Well, that just happened to me.

I have kept mostly quiet until now. I think this needs to be said because I feel like there are groups out there about to and wanting to trample on my Constitutional Rights. For decades people cried for separation of church and state. They wanted the church out of the government. The opposite however was pretty much a non-issue.

Now I return to my blog to begin again. To start from where I am and move forward. I am hopeful that my need to look back has lessened and my focus now is on the present and the future.
