I really want to try to implement a performance portfolio next year. I would like to do some minlessons on keeping a portfolio and how to use a portfolio to assess our own writing. From there I would put them in a common place so the students could access them when they wanted to. This year we read a story called, J alapeno Bagels.

I take away so many valuable and worthwhile ideas from the weekly readings and the chapters about conferencing reminded me of many things I do incorrectly or not as effectively and more importantly these chapters have given me ways to improve! Native Americans in Literature.

They say yes or no, but what does that mean? There is usually no further explanation, expect it was funny or the main actor was cute. I want to know about plot. Things are considerably better no.
