Can we blame aggressive behaviour on genetics? There is no set answer to whether aggressive behaviours are caused by genes and hormones or the experiences we have. There are numerous studies to support both sides of the argument. I personally think that they both have an influence in that you are born with the capabilities to be violent and that the experiences you have shape whether you display these characteristics.

In this weeks blog I will be looking at how single case design and case studies are different as people often perceive them as being identical to one another. There are indeed similarities between these two experimental designs which is what often makes people think that they are the same.

Forensic Psychology is very often over-dramatised in many of our favourite TV shows. We now think of it as an action packed lifestyle, chasing crazed killers across the country, but when we strip the drama away, what are we really left with? Theories; models; patterns; traits? The question however is, just how reliable and accurate are these? How useful can Forensic Psychology and Profiling be in cases such as these? There is no real evidence to back it up, and .

Therefore for some it may be necessary to have counseling in order to learn what they are feeling and some strategies to cope. It is also beneficial as the physician can make sure the person is in the right frame of mind and will not regret their decision later. But for some it is unnecessary and only lengthens the time of them being in a body they are not comfortable with.

Unfortunately, some are better at apologies than others, and some just flat out refuse. It does make you wonder what makes a good apology though.

How do thoughts affect emotion? Clearly this study discovered some interesting findings. The unknowing participant had no idea they were injected with adrenaline and so put all the emotion they felt down to the fact they were just having a really good time, whereas the second participant knew exactly what was happening.
