Over 200 students joined thousands of demonstrators on the 9. We chanted, determined to get our voices heard in the not so democratic Parliament, shook our signs and protested loudly but peacefully.

Nottingham Students Against Fees and Cuts! We will fight and we will win! OccupyNotts in 36th day of Occupation of Old Market Square, Nottingham. And other local organizations in solidarity with the liberation movement around the world. Tonight, in the 36th day of Occupation, campers and city residents held a candlelight vigil in solidarity with Egyptian civilians in Tahrir Square who were attacked by and are currently engaged in a tense standoff with Egyptian armed forces.

The site had the following in the homepage, "In light of recent events, and in particular the corporate medias portrayal of recent events and the use of the word violence to describe property damage and justified anger on the part of protesters, whilst rampant police thuggery barely earns column inches I think it important to think about violence as a concept."
