For those of us who do what we do, not for money, but for the sheer wonderment of how far we can push ourselves, that can never be taken away. We run and swim when nobody looks or cares. We will compete not for prize or glory, but for the high that comes from accomplishment. There lies a true sportsman. Well, there is a good reason for the long absence from the blog. Our Itty BD Baby arrived! I mentioned the contraction episode to my doctor and she said that oftentimes when a baby drops into the birth canal you can feel contractions similar to what I described. I was scheduled for my GBS test anyway so the doctor asked if I would like a pelvic exam. Being curious to find out if those contractions had done anything I said yes. It was uneventful in the contractions department but I was def.
