What If Everyone Went to Sleep When It Got Dark? May 2, 2011. They begin to open their rosy petals, soaking up the sun. Using the sun as a clock, the tulips are sure to use its energy to their maximum capability. One tulip near explosion as the end of its life nears. The petals wither, but remain vibrant, with green foliage aplenty.
