I use a combination of lattice deformer and joint skinning to create a squashy jaw. The same kind of setup will be applied to the upper head as well. When we rotate fingers towards the palm the first joints of the fingers slide downwards on the Metacarpal joints exposing their prominent shape. It is the Metacarpals that make the distinct shape of knuckles. The fingers define the shape of the fist and knuckles give it definition. And to maintain volume of Knees.
