I am always hesitant about buying fine wool scarves from flea markets or car-boot sales, as the chances are that the moths will have got to them. However at Ledburys first boot sale of the year I gave in to temptation. I recently wrote a blog about her early work which she very generously helped with. My final show is now installed. The culmination of two years of practical engagement and academic research. The work on the walls have been produced rapidly over the last 2 months but they are not end results they are exploratory experiments. Below me and my friend Harry are hanging the work, deciding on the best positioning, difficult with work this scale. Thankfully the people around me have been wonderfully supportive helping me feel more positive.

The book I stumbled upon in a review page recently is Edward Gorey, His Book Cover Art and Design by Steven Heller. I am not a Goth fan, but the link puts Gorey in context with such, as well as the dark imagination of David Lynch and other surrealists.
