Was founded in 1987 by Sarah Shaffer. To provide kids ages 5-15 a unique and exciting approach to learning about the wonderful world of science and nature. Our programs feature hands-on projects built by each child. We offer camps during most school breaks, after school classes, and evening and weekend workshops located throughout the Bay Area.

Each time I see the acronym I struggle to remember what each letter stands for. Or was it national? 8230; for Women Who Are Homeless and at Risk. By providing housing assistance, case management, referral services, and life necessities, we encourage women to empower themselves by rebuilding both emotionally and physically, realizing their unique potential. We have been serving women who are homeless or at risk of homelessness for 30 years. Located in the north side of Chicago, we serve over 900 women annually.
