First, I want to apologize for the slow progress of updates. The money that we raised for Legend happened so fast that all of us involved needed time to sort through all of his potential rescue options and do what was best for Legend. What started as Sherri posting pictures of an badly injured pit in a locked section of Downey Shelter snowballed into a social-media wildfire of posts, comments, and shares. It resulted not just in raised donations, but we got the attention of the Jason Heigl Foundation.
