WHAT LIGHT IT UP BLUE MEANS TO ME. April is Autism Awareness Month. Autism Speaks has a huge campaign called Light it Up Blue in which they encourage everyone to wear blue and cast blue lights on front porches, buildings, and monuments. But more on that later.
Friday, June 24, 2011. Summer School and First Summer Field Trip. The crowds were unbelievable at The Henry Ford Museum on June 21, 2011. We had hoped to view the Emancipation Proclamation in person. It was not to be as the lines continued to stretch from a 4 to 5 hour wait to nearly 8 hours. We did enjoy viewing some of the other exhibits and the best part was it was our first field trip of the summer and it was FREE! The Kids especially enjoyed folding and launching paper airplanes. B is for Battle Cry.
