I think blogging has been an effective way of learning. It gives an opportunity for students to enhance their learning in a less stressful way, e. no exams! Thank you for an enjoyable and interesting learning experience. Therefore, perhaps it is not the pupils who are lacking in motivation, maybe the teachers need adapt and encourage pupils to work? What have I learnt? April 10, 2012. I think we can all agree, we have covered a vast amount of topics and information over these few weeks. Personally, the opportunity to blog about topics of interest has heightened my motivation in forming a strong argument and is certainly evident throughout many other blogs too.

This has been one of my favourite modules from the whole time I have been here. 1 We were given the opportunity to be truly independent learners. We had to choose our own topics, arguments and sources to back these up. This is something I feel is missing from many curriculums, both at secondary and tertiary education levels. While some people will benefit more from a structured approach than others, too much structure be restricting and discouraging.

I thing I enjoyed most about the module was the way it was tested. Doing weekly blogs meant more work but it was in smaller more manageable chunks which is much better than having to cram information for other exams and this modules exam at the end of the semester. I enjoyed the module and would recommend it to all second years. I think more modules should adopt some of the concepts that this module demonstrates work.

From the very first week, this module has been an eye-opener. So many topics have been discussed in a small period of time, without being too much to take in or keep up with.

The module was organised so that we could incorporate our own educational interests, but with the requirement to comment on others interests, which resulted in not only the broadening of my interests but knowledge too.
