Tuesday, March 1, 2011. Tragedy Strikes Local Food Bank. On Monday, February 28th, the rains fell heavy in East Tennessee and localized flooding began to occur. One of the many businesses destroyed in Knoxville was Second Harvest Food Bank. Here are few pictures taken by one of the Second Harvest employees. This is our warehouse parking lot and those are employee cars completely submerged in water.
