Thursday, April 21, 2011. 1 pinch fresh ginger, peeled and grated. 3 medium Thai basil leaves. Juice of half a lime. In the bottom of a Collins or mixing glass, muddle the sugar, water, herbs and lime juice. Pour in rum and stir. Top with crushed ice and club soda. Garnish with a lime wheel.

Thursday, July 23, 2015. Toni, me, Carolyn, Wendy and Kristi before the race. Heading in to start the swim. So happy to be out of the water! Short run up the beach, then a run through the parking lot, into the transition area. Spent a bit more time in here than normal. Still getting over the swim, I guess. Got my feet cleaned off before putting on shoes and socks. Put on my helmet and sunglasses, reset my watch, then headed out of transition with my bike. In age group and Wendy got 5th! .

Monday, August 10, 2009. Breaking up is hard to do. When I realized that I had time to use the Internet to kill time again, I felt overwhelmed. First, I wanted to take to Twitter, which has surely suffered for my long absence. But there were so many pithy sayings to catch up on! Then I took to a few of my fave Web sites and got really bored once I realized I would never actually be able to read all I missed out on over the last few months.

Mom always used the recipes and instructions out of these. And I went to the net to find something easier. What can I say? My search led me here.
