Det er noe spesielt med våren. Når lyset tiltar, sola begynner å ta og snø og is tiner i sydvendte hellinger. Ute ved kysten tiner det gjerne først. Små, mørke renner nedetter svabergene forteller om is og snø på retrett. Godt inne i skogen, langt fra havet, vokser bekkene til rene innsjøer på sine steder. Snøsmeltingen er i full gang og det kan være skummelt å være uforsiktig. Vannet presser seg inn i snøen over store områder og gjør den til en tyk.
