Society for the History of Astronomy. Shedding light on the history of astronomy. SHA members at the 10th Anniversary Picnic, Institute of Astronomy, Cambridge 21 July 2012. The Society for the History of Astronomy was founded in 2002. Members benefit from a range of quality publications, which Institutional members also receive. And have access, by arrangement, to our Sir Robert Ball Library in Birmingham. Most of all, we enjoy what we do! Welco.

Further details can be found on the meetings tab above or here. The Spring Conference will take place at the Institute of Astronomy, Cambridge on Sat 22 April.

This is the home page of our Societys Survey of Astronomical History. The county pages are regularly updated as new research is submitted by our members. The Society for the History of Astronomy was formed to encourage research into astronomicalhistory at the local level. To aid this research, the Society has created the SurveyPARSED CONTENT
The site had the following in the homepage, "An ongoing voluntary project carried out by members of The Society for the History of Astronomy."
